DEPARTMENT OF TELUGU

ESTABLISHMENT: The department of Telugu was established in the year 1973 at the undergraduate level. It was started with a view to cater to the needs in the socially backward and economically weaker students of the Rayalaseema region, which is a drought-prone area.

VISION:  Developing Telugu Studies in relation to other major languages of the Dravidian family Developing modern applications of language studies with specific emphasis on the present day job market Focus upon the comparative aspects of Dravidian Literature and Heritage Imparting special training in Translation Activity

MISSION:  Our extracurricular activities, such as students surveys, field trips, help students become knowledge about moral and ethical values . .
