Department of Statistics

• The Department of Statistics was established in the year 1999.
• With the combination of  Subject Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science.

• It was started with a view to cater to the needs of socially backward and economically weaker of the Rayalaseema region, which is a drought-prone area.

 Vision

• To strengthen the Statistics teaching, research and its applications.

 Mission

• The Department aims at providing qualitative skill oriented education in order to prepare the students and make them fit and eligible for the present day requirements of the society.
• Our goal is to teach students how to think statistically, how to appropriately apply useful statistical techniques in the variaus fileds like banking, agriculture, medical, etc.
